Every Christian would agree that ethics is in crisis in our day, not only in the world, out there among unbelievers, but also in the church. Unbelievers go in a million directions trying to figure out the difference between right and wrong. Even well-meaning Christians are all over the map when it comes to ethical and moral living. I've met some Christians who seem to have very few moral convictions at all and I've met other Christians who seem to have superficial but loud answers to every ethical question.
I guess the older I get, the more I'm convinced that one of our greatest needs today is a way to understand how Scriptures apply to our lives - how we should think, act and even feel as people of the Book. How to make biblical decisions.
For this reason I'll like to invite you to participate to Dr. Davide Sciarabba seminar called "The Use of Scripture in Ethical Dilemmas" during the Sabbath School time slot. A session of questions and answers after his presentation.

Davide Sciarabba is originally from Italy. He is an ordained pastor who served the church as chaplain, professor, youth pastor and senior pastor in three different Adventist Universities (Florence, Italy; Collonges, France; Sagunto, Spain). He is earning a PhD in Religion in Systematic Theology with emphasis in Ethics at Andrews University. He is married to Sonia Badenas (Assistant professor of French at AU) and they have two children, Flavia and Marco
We will be participating in the Samaritan Christmas Shoe Box event this year and should have empty boxes available within the next couple of Sabbaths. In 2018 our church provided 40 Christmas shoe boxes and the year prior 18! We understand that not everyone has means to give and with Covid19 affecting so many financially, if you are unable to participate, please do not underestimate the power of your much-needed prayers. We need prayers over those who are able to donate, prayers over the children who will be the recipient of the boxes, and most importantly, prayers so these gifts not only touch their heart, but also makes a huge spiritual impact in the lives of these children. Collection date for Shoe Boxes is week of November 16th. More details to follow.
After the church service. Bring lawn chairs and snack food.
We can watch our children playing in the playground, and we can use this mild Sabbath afternoon for fellowship.
